Ken Termini
Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Professional in Palmerton, PA
Ken Termini, celebrated for his remarkable achievements in the pharmaceutical industry and as a high school basketball coach, has now dedicated his efforts to guiding college student leaders in optimizing their entry-level job interviews.
Graduating from Penn State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Ken embarked on his career at Revlon. After two fruitful years, he transitioned to Forest Pharmaceuticals, marking the beginning of a significant 27-year tenure. There, he quickly made a mark, ascending through various sales and management roles and effectively navigating the complexities of the healthcare landscape. His exemplary performance did not go unnoticed; he was honored with all three of the company’s significant sales awards: Rookie of the Year, Representative of the Year, and Sales Manager of the Year.
In 2002, Ken's leadership skills led to a promotion to head the State Government Affairs Department at the corporate office of Forest Pharmaceuticals. His career trajectory continued to soar as he was entrusted with creating and leading the Federal Public Policy & Government Affairs department at Forest Laboratories during the critical implementation phase of the Affordable Care Act. He concluded his pharmaceutical career in a strategic role as an Anti-Infective Hospital Specialist at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan), focusing on infectious diseases and hospital-based IV antibiotics.
From an early age, Ken was guided by a structured financial plan, and he was advised by a friend’s father to split his life into three parts: learning, earning, providing, and enjoying retirement. He meticulously followed this blueprint, achieving his goal of retiring by age 50 through strategic planning and the support of trusted financial advisors, along with careful estate and tax planning.
Outside of his professional life, Ken has been deeply involved in real estate, specifically focusing on vacation rental property development. Over the past two decades, he has been part of projects that built large oceanfront houses and a substantial 36-unit oceanfront condominium project in the Outer Banks. Despite divesting most of his real estate holdings, he continues to play an active role in the Outer Banks non-resident property owner (NRPO) group, utilizing his extensive knowledge of property management.
