I am a Durango, Colorado-based wandering retiree, boldly going nowhere. In my previous existence, though, I was a freelance writer, editor, and teacher. My essays, features, and book reviews have appeared in a variety of national and regional newspapers and magazines, and I have been an editor at several magazines and online news sites.
I also authored three books about living and parenting in the modern American West:
"The Monkey Wrench Dad: Dispatches from the Backyard Frontline" (Raven's Eye Press, 2008)
"Why I'm Against It All: Rants and Reflections" (Raven's Eye Press, 2003)
"A Wilder Life: Essays from Home" (Kivaki Press, 1995)
