Initially a college promotional rep for Island Def Jam Music Group Kenya launched a marketing & promo company called Urban Envy Marketing & Promotions. She managed a team of 30 teens and led promo campaigns in Upstate NY and Canada for: Def Jam & Mad Soul Clothing. She moved to NYC in 2007 and a friend asked her to take on being a tv personality for his entertainment tv show and so she did.

As Host and Reporter for WKBW - ABC Buffalo: Official Heat, she has interviewed: Angela Bassett, Cece Peniston, Maino, Classical violinist Lara St. John as well as having covered NYC Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and more for her segment entitled "The Skinny NYC."

Official Heat went off air in 2009 and in 2011 Kenya decided to keep "The Skinny NYC" alive by making it an independent 30-minute music, fashion, entertainment & news show. She co-produces and edits the show alongside Chuck Holliday and Lloyd Barnes with a developing cast including Miss Ashley Nichole. Most recently Kenya has interviewed fellow entertainment journalist Sharon Carpenter of VH1's The Gossip Game/Global Grind. Make sure to tune into
