Kerri Weitzel
Instructional Designer and trainer in State College, Pennsylvania
After 19 years of growing up in Acton, MA, Kerri chose to move to Pennsylvania to earn her bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies and Early Childhood Education at Penn State University.
After graduating with honors she moved back to Massachusetts, worked at her alma mater elementary and junior high school within the Acton- Boxborough Regional Schools, and got married. Upon moving back to State College to work with the State College Area School District for the Computer Services department, she earned her Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instructional Technology from Framingham State University with honors. Over the next 13 years, she added 3 children to her family and supported her husband while he worked toward increasing his rank within the Air National Guard.
Kerri jumped back into full-time work with Schoolwires, which was acquired by Blackboard, Inc. as a Training Specialist who consulted for and trained school districts by teaching administrators and staff how to work with the Schoolwires CMS to build amazing new websites.
She is currently working for Penn State as an Instructional Production Specialist for Eberly College of Science in the Statistics Department.
When Kerri isn't working, you will often find her at Beaver Stadium or on campus as a supporting fan at sporting events or at home with her family.
