Yes, that's me frollicking around. Why? Because I'm a recent graduate with my entire career ahead of me. It's an exciting time so please allow me this moment of glory.
My time at Michigan State was spent obtaining a Communication/Public Relations degree. I worked for MSU Admissions where my positions continued to advance from Assistant, to Ambassador, to Coordinator. I was highly involved in MSU's Public Relations Student Organization and held the position of Public Relations Chair for MSU's Student Apparel Design Association. I also spent senior year as an Account Associate for Hubbell Connections Communication Firm.
Following graduation I made the highly anticipated move to Chicago, IL. I spent the summer of 2012 working as an Intern for Corporate Event Interactive, a boutique teambuilding and networking event company. Following my internship I joined their team as a Production Coordinator. Duties include everything from initial client contact to site contact, pre-event logistics to day of event logistics and all in between. After just three months, my position advanced to also include the role of Social Media Manager. A facet of Corporate Event Interactive is Association Management. I manage one of the five local Chicago organizations in which CEI manages.
I also hold the position of Special Events Planner for the International Volunteer Network of Chicago.
If I'm not balancing seven different tasks or working to meet a deadline, my true passions lie within a social media feed, witty one-liners, and my sub par skills on guitar.
I look forward to pouring my hard earned skills into whatever opportunity comes my way next. So, network with me. I promise we can frolic together.
