What’s up, I’m Kershea. I’m a writer and (para) educator living in Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature, media and writing. I then attended law school, but left after a year in order to scratch my exploratory itch. I moved to Asia, where I lived, taught, and adventured for four glorious years before following my now-husband to the USA where I currently reside. My diverse interests include travel, psychology, anything on JSTOR, education, fitness and health. I love learning and researching topics of interest. I may have a dorky addiction to JSTOR, but I can also pretend to be cool and write pop culture. I enjoy sharing my interests with others through ghostwriting SEO content, and guest blogging. I also have experience proofreading dissertations and theses from a variety of disciplines. I am familiar with APA, MLA and Harvard conventions, and can help you clean up your copy related to personal, professional or academic pursuits. I have recently completed a non-traditional degree program in interdisciplinary studies, which gave me the flexibility to expand my knowledge in areas such as psychology, education, social work, and biology. I enjoy integrating knowledge from these various disciplines, as I'm endlessly curious about and inspired by human potential and resilience. I hope to pursue a professional graduate education that taps into these interests. For now, I'm content writing about them. Feel free to request work samples.
