Growing up in the hustle and bustle of the dot com era in Silicon Valley, California, Kersten has had a lifelong love affair with marketing. Being raised by small business owners gave her insight into the world of business and a passion for business strategy. After completing her undergraduate degree at Oral Roberts University, she went on to finish her MBA there as well in 2010. Over the years she has traveled to Africa multiple times, helping non-profit organizations sustain themselves through various business strategies and continues to volunteer her services.

Since graduation her passion for marketing and business strategy has only grown through her work with small business owners and local advertising. It is this passion that drove her to create Speakeasy Market Strategies. Through the creation of this company, she is able to help businesses and follow her passion and lifelong dream of owning her own business.

Outside of the office you will find her harboring her social media addiction, exploring downtown Tulsa, and training at her favorite boot camp classes. She lives by Ben Franklin's famous quote, "Motivation is when your dreams put on work clothes."
