Hello, I’m Keshavan Badri, a high school student currently navigating the worlds of computational biology and computer science. My journey is driven by a desire to explore intersections where technology and science come together to address real-world medical challenges, particularly in biomedical fields. From building predictive models to analyzing genetic data, I’m deeply passionate about harnessing computational tools to innovate solutions for medical and health-related problems.

My academic path reflects my curiosity and dedication. Through the Running Start program at Bellevue College, I’ve taken advanced courses that not only challenge me but also build the foundation I need for college and beyond. With each class, whether in calculus, computer science, or biology, I am preparing myself to contribute meaningfully to the field of computational biology, with aspirations of one day developing cutting-edge health solutions, including nanorobots and AI-driven medical models.

Beyond academics, I am a hands-on learner who loves applying skills in real-life projects and community initiatives. I’m actively involved in my school’s robotics club, where I enjoyed the collaborative process of designing, building, and troubleshooting in high-stakes competitions. I also volunteer bi-weekly at a local senior center, leading workshops designed to engage memory and physical activity for residents, which has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. This project, which I’m working to expand citywide, deepens my appreciation for community service and the transformative power of human connection.

Another key interest of mine is storytelling. Through articles for my local newspaper, I delve into issues like artificial intelligence, digital literacy, and the impacts of emerging technology on our society. Recently, I published a story on AI’s role in combating misinformation, which included expert interviews that informed readers about navigating an increasingly digital world. I am also interning at Crigloo.com, where I create content that leverages data-driven insights to help businesses improve their ad targeting, learning invaluable skills in digital marketing and AI-enhanced platforms along the way.

I believe that combining computer science and biology can lead to pioneering health advancements, and I am determined to be at the forefront of this change.
