Welcome friend,

I invite you to consider that by intentionally choosing kindness, we, as human beings, are able to centre our lives on compassion, love, beauty, peace, and empathic joy. Kindness is nourishing in this way. We soften to life, and with mutual support, we become less fragile and isolated.

I am vulnerable, alive, and reliant on this ecosystem to survive, just like you. There are many distressing experiences that I share in too; fear, loss, grief, rage, anxiety, harm, sickness, and death, all have in some way touched my life.

I deeply understand that there are great difficulties that come from being part of life and in any community. Surrounded by difference and diversity, sometimes we may come across or experience fear, judgement, violence and misunderstanding. Furthermore, ecological and socio-political crises, unpredictable events, struggles with health, and pain from the past, all muddy the waters of life and relationships.

Emotional dysregulation, panic, trauma, and going out of our minds, is how some of the more pained moments of life can be for many of us. I have been there too. Yet, I believe that everyone has some capacity to be adaptable and resilient, which can grow through being kind to ourselves and one another. We are all worthy of appropriate care and right relationships.

Part of my mission is to assist people in leading their lives with kindness to self and others, including our precious planet, and everyone on it. In my experience, kindness restores meaning, and reduces suffering caused by the many profound, unpleasant and unfortunate facts of life. I believe that simple kindness contributes to resolving damage caused by pained and irrational reactions, and unfeeling and disconnected thought processes. Kindness is necessary to end suffering because we are all interconnected.

I offer a few clear and simple invitations: to live wisely, with the warm light of love alive in your heart, and to nurture fun and playfulness whenever possible. While there is grief and suffering in my life, to be completely honest, there is also great joy, humour and many moments of calm! I also am honoured to receive invitations from people like you to form partnerships, collaborations, communities, and small groups to do this work of living wisely.
