Kendra Thomson
I am a registered massage therapist who graduated from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in June 2014. I have a background in Human Kinetics from Capilano University in Vancouver, where I obtained my Certified Personal Training.As a recent graduate, I brings motivation and strong eagerness to provide effective and professional treatment for all my client’s needs. My drive and dedication to helping others provides me with the ability to communicate and connect with clients to aid in their road to recovery and promotion of health and wellness.
I was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, where I was engaged in many different sporting teams such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, dance and any activity that gets my blood moving! I have a strong passion for being in the outdoors and brings that passion to my work place treatment style.
My love for learning about the human body and all the different muscles, provides me with a strong pull towards assessment and treatment of all kinds of injuries and/or needs of my clients. I utilize many manual techniques such as Sport Massage, Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, Pre/Post Natal Massage, and I have experience with Ultrasound / Tens machines. With my Personal Training background, I tend to prescribe remedial exercises to help aid in my patients road to recovery and with my initial assessment that allows me to prescribe a treatment plan to help get you back to your normal.
