Ketki Anand

I am a software engineer from BMSIT, Bangalore and specializing in IT and Business Management from SCIT, Pune. I believe that along with an all-round personality development in these academic years, learning to contribute back to our community is also very important. And to accomplish this, a platform was created for the like-minded people in the form of SCIT SSR to help make a difference to society – in whatever way possible.

As one of the founding members of SSR, i would like to mention that when a few of us started a small community service group in our college, little did we know that it will garner so much enthusiasm from people and make them dedicated members. We just wanted a group of volunteers to come together and contribute to various causes we believed in. And we did so through various initiatives like “Go Green” , “Save Fuel”, “Earth hour 2010”, “Green IT Awareness Campaign”, supporting self-help groups like Sunrise Candles and so on. A visit to “Maanavya” , an NGO for HIV affected kids is worth a special mentionas this was one of the most cherished moments of SSR.

I am proud to be associated with such activities initiated by SSR and would love to be a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility team in future while at my job.
