Kevin Murphy

Kevin T. Murphy, MD, is a San Diego-based physician who leads the practice MindSet. Dr. Murphy treats patients using a personalized form of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (PrTMS-registered) that aids in boosting brain performance. Dr. Murphy's neuromodulation technique combines neurocognitive assessments and quantitative EEG data to generate treatments customized to the individual needs of patients.

At regular intervals, Dr. Murphy repeats the patient's EEG to monitor brainwave changes and adjust treatment protocols to ensure optimal therapeutic results. Among those treated at MindSet are patients with health issues that include depression, post-traumatic stress and sleep disturbances.

Dr. Murphy communicates closely with patients throughout the treatment process, repeating neurocognitive assessments and addressing other aspects of well-being such as lifestyle habits. In addition, MindSet offers optional pharmaceutical-grade nutritional supplements.

Board-certified as a radiation oncologist, Kevin T. Murphy, MD, specializes in treating a wide range of tumors of the central nervous system, brain, and spinal cord. He draws on this experience to develop treatment plans for patients at MindSet. He previously served as a professor in the department of radiation medicine at UCSD.
