Kevin Armstrong

Biography

Kevin's construction experience started early in life during a major remodel of his family home from a one story 1,600 square foot home to a two story 4,200 square foot home. He spent six months digging bearing wall trenches, hammering nails, and sleeping in one room with 3 brothers and a sister. Who would have known that 40 years later, he would meet the man that had engineered a better solution to the same problem: Jim Lindsley and his Spiral Incremental Construction design!

After graduating in 1972 from JHF Polytechnic School (majoring in Math and Science), Kevin started a handyman company that specialized in refurbishing homes for Realtors. He worked on the home of the Vice President of RCA's manufacturing division, who would later persuade to Kevin to work with him. This led to a career in manufacturing.

After leaving RCA, Kevin worked 22 years for Nomaco, a plastic foam manufacturing company that shipped over 8 million units per year globally. Nomaco's customers were diverse; they exposed him to almost all categories of industry, construction and consumer goods. Kevin is best known for his work on the "Funnoodle" (pool noodle) and "Post Pad" (padding for fast food playgrounds).

Kevin's 28 years of Business Management experience have given him exposure to many varieties of commercial and retail markets from toys to pipe insulation. Since 1987, Kevin has participated in bringing new products to the market. Kevin was a principle participant in the design and marketing of over 800 new products. His dream was to follow his passion for things and experiences new and exciting.

Kevin started his own company (Armstrong Value Add) in 2010 and has worked with inventors and companies that need help getting their product ideas off the drawing board and into the marketplace. While working as President of Armstrong Value Add, he met Jim Lindsley, the President/Owner of SpirInCo. The two soon decided to combine their expertise and resources and have formed a partnership.

Kevin has three grown children: 2 boys and a girl (Landon, Lisa and Erik). They have given him 9 grandchildren: 3 girls and 6 boys. Kevin's dream now is to build a home for his extended family to come and "spiral around the house!"
