After a tentative foray into the world of media distribution – newspaper delivery boy, if you’re being pedantic – I followed what recruitment agents might generously describe as a chequered career.

I pinballed my way through life as a beach caff beverage dispenser, Hot Wheels demonstrator, construction site buyer, barman, steel drum seller, skateboard mag contributor, barman again, banana picker, stagehand, follow-spot operator, tour guide, office cleaner in the Netherlands Ministry of Finance and bleeding-hand Rotterdam dockworker.

Eventually I became a copywriter once someone quietly explained to me that it’s got nothing to do with patenting inventions.

I work alone and increasingly with art director James Ellis. His stuff is here. We'll merge our sites one of these days.

You can see my CV here, although the blog is probably a more rewarding read. It's not just about advertising. I have another blog about my travels (because there clearly aren't enough of those), and yet another that juxtaposes last-century descriptions of London locations with what's standing at the same site today. You'll find that one here.

Would you like some copy written or ads created? Get me away from all this blogging bollocks? Good. Drop me an emailand let's get started.
