Re-elect Kevin MacKenzie for Clarington Trustee

I became Catholic in 2016 and had a desire to give back to my community and my faith. That's why in 2018 I became a School Board Trustee for Clarington for the Peterborough, Victoria, Northhumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board (PVNCCDSB).

In the last four years I have the privilege of becoming Vice Chairperson of the board, Chairperson of the Policy Committee, Chairperson of the Faith and Equity Committee and I sit on the Catholic Parent Engagement Committee (CPEC).

At this time, I am the only Trustee, out of seven, on the board that has children currently attending school in the board. I believe this gives me a unique perspective.

I am an advocate for children and education. I want all children to feel safe and welcoming in an inclusive environment. Students should have the very best in their learning and I strive to keep pushing for that goal.

My motivation to do this work comes from God. I also, wrote an Amazon Canada bestseller on motivation in 2016.

Being a Trustee isn't a full time position, although some days it might feel like it. I have been in sales and customer service since I was a teenager working my first job at a pet store. Currently, I am still in the pet industry leading a sales team.

As a regular church goer at my parish St Therese in Courtice I also volunteer as the Chairperson of the Finance Committee.

If re-elected I will also be the only Trustee that was at the board at the start of the last term. Experience matters.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family including my wife of 23 years Daniela, my sons Lucas (13) and Joshua (10).
