I am a student at North Grand High School interested in civil engineering, computer engineering, and urban art forms.

Through a pre-civil engineering course at North Grand, I've created mock blueprints, planning budgets, simulations of buildings with various constraints. I learned how to problem solve and use math formulas to correct structural issues of bridges, buildings, and other structures. In this same course, I've spent a lot of time utilizing the Autodesk Inventor program and other computer softwares. Other skills that I gained from this course include communication, working as a team and time management.

Outside of school, I've participated in a job readiness program through Youth Service Project. I've also worked as an artist creating community murals through Graffiti Zone. Through the Assoication House of Chicago, I've partcipated in various arts programs over the past five years, such as "Voces" and "Goin' HAM (Honoring All Movements)." With "Goin' HAM," I collaborated wih my peers to produce a 20 minute dance performance. During this time, I also sharpened my writing and vocal skills.

I'm currently working at Youth Service Project. I plan to enroll in a university to study civil engineering.
