Kevin Covan was born in New York, New York the part of Manhattan known as Harlem and raised in the Bronx, N.Y. the home of hip-hop; where he also discovered his love for the music.

In 2011, Kevin started his own record label company Grind to Glory (G2G) which began to make a name for itself. Working side by side with Wise McGriff (Def Jam), Anthony Jones (Warner Brothers), Anthony White (Vibe Magazine) just to name a few and with receiving digital distribution through Island Def Jam landed Kevin many successful events and showcases throughout the tri-state area.

G2G is a company that also helps underground artists get the recognition that they need to get their music or product out into the world. Kevin has coordinated events and showcases with Mr. Cheeks (Lost Boys), Fred the God-son and many more, as well as being a judge at numerous events which allowed him to emerge new artists in the industry.

With 3 years of coordinating events, showcasing and emerging new artist G2G continues to grow and seek the many talents of the underground artists from all over the world who have not but should be recognized in the industry as well as coordinating the best events and showcases.

In 2014, Kevin became a broker for Universal Music Group Distribution. Upon successful deals with UMGD; G2G Records was born, known as Grind 2 Glory/Universal Music Group Distribution.

Kevin was appointed as the Northeast Regional Field Director for the R. Langston Foundation, Inc. The mission and purpose of the R. Langston Foundation, Inc., 501(c)(3) organization, a grassroots effort to promote youth by creating opportunities and giving them access to all the tools needed to help them reach their goals in sports, education, performing arts and volunteerism.
