Kevin’s background includes technical and corporate communications, and executive and issues/policy communications support. For Florida Power & Light Company, one of the largest investor-owned electric utilities in the nation, he managed the monthly employee newsletter "Energy Now" of Fortune 500 energy company NextEra Energy, Inc. (circulation: 15,000+ employees and retirees in 38 states and Canada).

Kevin also provided issue/policy communications guidance, executive communications support and community leader outreach communications. Because of his strong critical thinking and persuasive communication skills, a City of Riviera Beach Town Council proposed resolution that could have adversely affected operations of FPL’s Riviera Power Plant was, instead, quietly shelved.

Prior to joining FPL, Kevin served as principal consultant of his own Florida-based communications consulting firm. Serving both large and small firm, his clients included ADT Security Services, America's No. 1 provider of electronic security systems and services, and Orlando-based Imaging Sensors and Systems, Inc. (now part of Boeing Network & Space Systems), a defense-industry contractor specializing in image intelligence.

Kevin began his career as a radio announcer for WNOX-AM and WMYU-FM (U-102) in Knoxville, Tenn. He also served as Technical Communicator III for GE Healthcare, where he authored the company's first online context-sensitive help system for its Invasive Cardiology products, and Public Relations Manager for Intersil Corporation, a global technology leader specializing in the design and manufacture of high performance analog semiconductors.
