Kevin Parker

Kevin Parker hails from Peoria, Illinois. He currently serves as a Senior Business Analyst with the City of Boston’s Department of Innovation & Technology and a Senior Advisor to the City of Mobile, Alabama’s Office of Innovation. Kevin is also an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University, lecturing on the subject of urban innovation and technology. Prior to serving as the Director of Policy Research for the Boston City Council, Kevin worked as a Management Analyst in the City Manager’s Office for the City of Las Vegas, Nevada and the Chief of Staff for summer programs for the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California.

His previous experiences also include working as an Assistant to the Mayor of Peoria, Illinois and Congressman Ray LaHood. Before university studies, Kevin served in AmeriCorps *NCCC in Charleston, South Carolina and across the Southeastern states (Ville Platte, Louisiana being one of his favorite spikes). Kevin is also a member of the Advisory Boards for the Taubman Center for State and Local Government at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the School of Public Policy & Urban Affairs at Northeastern University, including being named to the New England Aquarium Board of Overseers. He received his BA/MPA from the University of Illinois and MBA from Boston University.

Kevin completed his second Boston Marathon as a member of the Museum of Science Team and recently ran the NYC Marathon with the Boston Children’s Hospital. He enjoys playing basketball and supporting the graffiti art community in his South End neighborhood of Boston.
