I am an engineering, operations, and business executive with 15 years of leadership experience in delivering world class software and hardware products for the enterprise. I have a passion for delivering novel and innovative products and services which help businesses to better serve their end customers. As a business leader, I pair innovation with an extremely strong focus on ensuring the products my teams deliver also ignite revenue, grow market share, enhance the brand and increase profitability.

I am proud to say that as GM/VP Product Development of the phones division I increased margins by over 30% through a blend of product redesigns, vendor negotiations, & portfolio pruning. I am as comfortable working hands-on with my product development team as I am working on a strategic problem for the C-suite. I develop strong professional partnerships and thrive on collaboration to move the business forward.

In today’s global economy, teams are rarely located all in one place and even if they are, it often makes sense to leverage multiple geographies to get the advantages of lower costs and diverse talent pools. I successfully leverage globally-distributed development teams and I achieve the optimum balance of talent, cost and risk management by setting clear objectives for each team (aligned with their demonstrated skills), creating a strong oversight program, & communicating openly and often with the entire group.

I have a personal commitment to environmental sustainability, & I have created programs which have immediately reduced my company’s carbon footprint as well as the footprint of the customers who deploy our products. For example, I launched the industry’s first Cass 1 Power-over-Ethernet phones which deliver a 40% energy savings, & I established an energy-savings tool so that customers can understand what their monthly savings in both carbon & dollars will be.
