I am a theoretical astrophysicist who is fascinated by the atmospheres of exoplanets. I am Chair Professor (German: Lehrstuhlinhaber) of "Theoretical Astrophysics of Extrasolar Planets" at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany. I was previously the director of the Center for Space and Habitability (CSH) at the University of Bern, Switzerland. I am co-founder of the Exoplanets conference series together with Didier Queloz.
