Dr. Kevin Hinshaw

An experienced medical professional specializing in Ophthalmology, Kevin Hinshaw, MD, has operated a private practice in St. Louis, Missouri since 1996. Currently, Dr. Kevin Hinshaw holds the position of President at the Eye Specialists of West County, PC. His practice focuses on delivering medical and surgical care for a wide range of issues, including cataracts, glaucoma, and chronic ocular pain. Dr. Hinshaw is often called upon for second opinions regarding highly complex medical issues. As an innovator in his field, he invented and designed the Hinshaw Lens Forceps, a device that assists with Premium Intraocular Lens Implants.

In academia, Dr. Kevin Hinshaw taught courses at St. Louis University Anheuser-Busch Eye Institute as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. He previously served as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Illinois. His recent involvements in the medical community include serving as Moderator and Director of the Business, Law, and Medicine Evening Lecture Series in St. Louis and a Lecturer at St. John's Mercy Medical Center Speakers Bureau.

Dr. Hinshaw is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, and a member of organizations including the St. Louis Ophthalmologic Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the Missouri State Medical Society.

Educated at St. Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Kevin Hinshaw completed his Doctor of Medicine in 1988. He went on to complete residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois.
