As chief financial officer and vice president of administrative services of Southeastern Community College (SCC) in West Burlington, Iowa, Kevin J. Carr draws upon more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles with professional and community organizations in directing non-academic operations for SCC. Primarily, Kevin J. Carr is responsible for planning and financing the construction and renovation of new and existing facilities at the Iowa-based school. Since taking on his current role in 2014, he has played an instrumental role in raising millions of dollars toward the development of three new academic halls and a four-story residence hall.

Before joining SCC, Mr. Carr held executive roles in the insurance industry, where he oversaw finances and facilitated the generation of millions of dollars per year in revenue. He began his career as an audit manager and director of recruiting with Ernst & Young, prior to which he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Truman State University. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he serves as a board member to multiple civic and nonprofit organizations, including the County College Fair Services Agency, Burlington Civic Music Association, and Greater Burlington Junior Achievement.
