Prior to accepting a research assistantship at the University of Iowa, Department of Geography, I used Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in demographic analysis, business development, population forecasting, urban planning and election planning.

My current research interests include:

• Modeling population dynamics to improve cancer control and prevention
• Rural health services and disparities research
• Spatial epidemiology of cancer
• Spatio-temporal demography
• School enrollment projections
