Kevin Pratte has spent nearly a decade as a physical education teacher and coach. Most recently he served as a long-term substitute teacher for grades K-5 in San Diego. Previously he functioned as a K-5 physical education teacher at Port City Academy in Stockton, California. Kevin Pratte also spent four years as an athletic director and physical education teacher at Langston Hughes Academy, a role in which he worked with middle school and high school students. His job responsibilities included scheduling, budgeting, hiring coaches, equipment maintenance, and community outreach.
Kevin Pratte’s coaching experience includes stints as varsity assistant coach at Pacific Ridge High School and head coach at WAVE Volleyball Club. He was awarded 2012 MVC Volleyball Coach of the Year and also coached a USA High-Performance Gold Medal Team in 2016.
Mr. Pratte studied sports pedagogy at the University of Pacific, where he also earned a MA in education administration. He later earned an MA in physical education at Azusa Pacific University. In his free time, he enjoys playing beach volleyball and watching college football.
