I'm a life-long learner, and a social work professor. I use a student-centered education model where students rely less on me and more on their own skills to become effective social workers. I aim to be "the guide on the side," instead of the "sage on the stage."

I've co-authored a book on Elder Advocacy and like to write in the areas of older adult advocacy, & teaching and learning. I am currently an outside evaluator on a teen pregnancy prevention federal cooperative agreement. For fun I like to take photos, read, & travel.
