KeyEternal, the name was created in the year 2005, back when he was still a 15 years old high school student. The name is derived from a song title sang by a famous Japanese pop singer Hamasaki Ayumi, which is called "Key ~Eternal Tie Version~". Usually he would go by the name Key, for short.
