The best way to predict the future is to create it! Coming from a background of negativity and hatred is what motivated to be where I am now. I always had aspirations of becoming successful and impacting the lives of others, but I always seemed to let the opinions of others dictate my actions. That is until I started living by the quote as mentioned previously, "The best way to predict the future is to create it! Greetings! My name is Keenan Farr. A native of Rocky Mount, NC. I am 20 years old. I am a sophomore and a Nursing major here at North Carolina Central University. I am a proud member of the Centennial Scholars Program, a proud member of Eagle Enhancement, and I am also a potential candidate for North Carolina Central's very own chapter of 100 Collegiate Men.
With my B.S. Degree I will become a Neonatal nurse and obtain my master's. In correspondence with my major I have spent the past summer volunteering at Community Home Care and Hospice working with the elderly. In the spring of 2016, I have the awesome privilege of traveling to the country of Fiji to help aid different groups of children ranging from various age groups. I will teach students English, I will be repairing school equipment and also constructing rain water catchment tanks so that villagers have access to fresh water.
I have made tremendous progress between my freshman year until now. As I continue to strive for excellence more opportunities are constantly being open for me, which motivates me to strive harder than before. I have a vision, a vision to impact, inspire, and innovate.
