Kfir Gavrieli is an American businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is the co-founder and current CEO of Tieks, an American footwear brand founded in 2008 and one of the early fashion brands to sell directly to consumers online.

In 2010, Tieks launched its line of exclusive, high-end ladies’ flats, designed to fold to fit inside a purse. The shoes come with a portable carrying bag to carry an alternate pair of shoes in. Made of top-of-the-line, split-sole Italian leather and unique Italian textiles, ensuring comfort and portability, with classic designs that can make the leap easily from work to play, the flats became an instant online hit.

In fact, Tieks flats are so wildly popular that even Oprah Winfrey wears and endorses these comfy and versatile ballet flats. Today, the Tieks line of high-end foldable flats has a worldwide following of loyal customers, and the shoes are known for their exquisite materials, fine craftsmanship, and one-of-a-kind design.

Tieks, a pioneer in the area of not only design but also marketing, was one of the first brands to market its products exclusively through its own website, with no brick and mortar stores. Today, after 10 years of successfully marketing and selling their line of flats on the Internet, Tieks has grown into one of the top web-only fashion brands in the world, and the company continues to grow tremendously online.

Gavrieli, along with Tieks and its boldly simple and effective business model, has caught the attention of such business publications as Forbes (“25 Most Innovative Consumer Brands”), Inc (“30 Under 30”), Entrepreneur (“Top 30 Startups to Watch”), The Oprah Magazine (“The O List”), and several other renowned national publications.

Gavrieli and Tieks are committed to supporting women’s empowerment and, through the Gavrieli Foundation, has been supporting women entrepreneurs globally to help impoverished women in communities around the world to develop small businesses. In fact, Tieks became the largest individual lender in the world on Kiva, an online lending platform that connects lenders to entrepreneurs, delivering over $10 million to women entrepreneurs living in poverty around the world. Tieks also launched Operation #SewTogether, in response to COVID-19 by donating medical-grade face masks and enlisting the Tieks community to sew lower-grade masks for hospitals across the country.
