For most of my career, I traveled throughout the United States, Carribean and Canada. As part of that experience, I developed a keen eye for determining what is truely appealing in terms of lodging, dining and service. For me, it goes well beyond how much one pays for something; it is all in the details of how it is presented.

I would tell my friends about travel deals that I had found, or wonderful hotels or restaurants that I had discovered. Now, that I am retired, I have decided to write about these experiences and share them with you.

What you can expect from this blog is my version of the unvarnished truth as I have experienced it. Hopefully, this information will be helpful to you as you plan vacations, or will simply provide you with a different perspective. I ask that you share with me your impressions, ideas and thoughts.

I take travel seriously, but luckily, not myself. Therefore, expect to see remarks that you might hear from a friend in the blog. I hope that they make you laugh or think, but mostly pave the way for a wonderful trip.
