Kgothatso Chaba
Student in South Africa
Greetings, I am Kgothatso Chaba. I am currently a third-year student teacher at the University of Johannesburg. I am studying a Bachelor of Education, specialising in English and History.
As an aspiring teacher, my teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that learning is interactive. As a result, I make learning collaborative by empowering learners to think critically, engage actively, and apply knowledge beyond the classroom. I firmly believe that learners should be allowed to use English shaped by their cultures, histories, and languages, provided their communication remains intelligible and effective; I have set a goal of pursuing postgraduate studies in this area.
Studying at the University of Johannesburg is the epitome of being privileged; I am equipped with the skills, knowledge, and attitude to contribute positively to the South African education system.
Outside of academics, I am passionate about football. I have played it since my childhood, and I like watching professional teams competing against each other.
