Khalid Othman

I am an art educator and also an artist.I have been teaching in secondary schools and also at university.At one time in my life i was also involved in Curriculum Development for the Visual Art subject for Malaysian Secondary Schools. I should be proud to say that what is being taught in Malaysian Schools be it Primary and Secondary Visual Art subjects today are the products of me and our hardworking committee in 1980"s.

In 1990's i moved to Brunei and was posted as a Lecturer at Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education,University Brunei Darussalam.Here i was engaged in Teacher Training Programme for Brunei Primary and Secondary School. In Brunei I have a chance to develop and also teach Art Teacher Training Programme which i feel have made impacts to the present Art Education and art scenario there.

Besides teaching, i was also a practising artist. I have made several art exhibitions in Brunei,Malaysia and Thailand.

From January 2013, i moved back home to Malaysia after my long stay in Brunei.At present i am also teaching and doing my art.I loved to make quick sketches and to experiment with various dry media in my drawing besides doing my paintings.The beautiful and lovely scenery which i stay now gives me a lot of inspirations to pursue my career as artist.
