Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, childhood in Kentucky, teen years spent near the white, sandy beaches of Naples, FL, I found my way back to the only place I have ever felt at home, right here in the green hills and hollers of Kentucky. I have the love of my life, some great kids, and like to walk barefoot on the land I own. It's a good life.

In my sixth grade Language Arts class way back in 1989, Mr. Fogle gave our class an assignment to write a book. Not just a story, we had to write an entire book, design the book cover, staple that puppy together and flesh out the story from beginning to end. Turns out I loved this assignment. As a teen I began pouring my thoughts into journals and would write until my heart's content locked up in my lavender room while listening to Mazzy Star.

Writing is the only thing I do in life where I don't check the time every half hour. It is my hope/dream/goal to become published, but I'v learned writing is a lot of work! I can't just lock myself in my room anymore and turn up the music. I have a husband, kids and a full time office job. So I don't let that stop me, even if it's only one paragraph at a time, it is my hope to have my stories written.
