Khanyi Magubane is a TV and Film Producer, SAfm Radio Presenter, Entrepreneur and Speaker/MC with 16 years of media experience. She has cut her teeth across the various media platforms of Radio/TV/Online and Print and has been widely recognized for her work in broadcast media. Most recently Magubane was the Executive Producer of season one of a new talk show on SABC 2 entitled Visionaries Lounge. The show profiled self-made South Africans with Noteworthy achievements. In 2014, Magubane was the recipient of the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiative, a legacy leadership program of US President Barack Obama. She attended the program in the United States between June-July 2014 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where she furthered her education in the field of business and entrepreneurship.In 2013 Magubane was recognized as one of Mail &Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in the field of Film and Media for her immense contribution in the field. Khanyi presents SAfm’s Arts and Culture program, The Friday Edition (7-10pm) as well as the gospel music and spirituality discussion program Living Sounds every Sunday (6-9pm). She has produced ground breaking documentaries as a documentary filmmaker. She now runs her own agency, Zinokwanda Media and Communications.
