Katie Hillsbury

I am a 26 year old with a First Class BA (Hons) in English and Media from Southampton Solent University and a PGCE in Primary Teaching. I live in Bournemouth with my husband and adorable black cat.

I completed a School Direct PGCE in July 2020 and began my NQT year in January 2021. Since then I've been working as a teaching assistant in a mainstream primary school, with challenges like behaviour management, SEN interventions, and often technical support being part of my daily tasks.

I have taken informative units at university in the areas of Video Editing and Online Media, as well as my English units, which include assessments and learning about publishing and critical analysis.

I like reading, writing, taking photos and videos, playing with my cat. I play video games in whatever other spare time I have, however, I can also be found on Photoshop or Premiere Pro, preparing a new project.
