Terrell Kaucher began developing his art as a youthful pinstriper of custom cars. Moved on to sign painting and graphic arts. Awarded a scholarship to Chouinards Art Institute, Los Angeles Ca. Bored with school, I chose a law enforcement career. Some key aspects of my 20 year career included the FBI National Academy and my appointment to Chief of Police in small Northern California community.

After retiring I formed the High Sierra Cedar company, manufacturing incense cedar shingles. Having access to this wonderful aromatic wood medium, I began wood sculpting and furniture design. Regrettably environmental regulations ended this effort.

Our family relocated to the San Diego area and I became a avocado and cherimoya farmer. A decade of farming taught me to be less dependent on chemical fertilizers and to return to the use of more organic products. I started the American Kelp Co. which distributed bulk kelp fertilizer to large farms. During this period I continued with my wood carving hobby.

Traveled to Southeast Asia where I became enchanted with the ancient Khmer stone sanctuaries and stone sculptures. This culturally rich area where Cambodia, Laos and Thailand meet has become my part time home. My passion of rediscovering these little known anthropological sites resulted in my establishing, Emerald Triangle Tours. I conducted tours of these historical masterpieces for more than a decade.

Khmer Road Sculpture was formed to recreate these stone Buddhas. I have selected some of the most iconic Buddha styles in history to hand sculpt. Photos of these original carvings can be purchased in the traditional Kakemono style. Antique, Colorful and Calligraphy themes all contribute to a peaceful, serene and spiritual setting to enhance your meditation.
