Coming from Carnarvon Gorge National Park, north of Roma in Queensland, Australia, Khory Hancock had an affinity and connection to nature from a young age. Specializing in environmental science and the agricultural, environmental and carbon farming industry, he gained expertise from the mining resource sector across both Queensland and New South Wales.
Merging his skills with his passion for regeneration, Hancock managed sheep and cattle stations scattered across western Queensland and New South Wales for carbon farming, taking part in vegetation mapping, negotiating with farmers and demonstrating a high level of skill in carbon farming processes during this pioneer project.
With more than a decade of experience in regenerative and environmental practices under his belt, Hancock has held various leadership positions at large corporate entities. He is well-versed in all aspects of quality management, safety systems as well as environmental management systems such as carbon abatement land restitution procedures, waste management, water conservation practices, greenhouse gas reporting along with data collection/reporting and auditing.
Currently working as Managing Director of a carbon project developer company, Hancock has moved forward through the various roles he has played over his career - from being an advisor or superintendent - to furthering its potential with innovative solutions that balance sustainability practices with corporate success.
