Sebastien Khoutxaysana

Greetings, I am a senior at the University of Washington Bothell finishing up my Health Studies degree and Health Education & Promotion minor. My interests range from music (like EDM and R&B) to health preparedness. In my free time, I like to find new spots to eat and make boba.

I currently work as a Pre-Major Peer Advisor at the University of Washington Bothell. I work with college students coming from all different backgrounds and assist them with college advising. This includes but is not limited to major applications, class scheduling, and college guidance. My team and I strive to promote academic excellence in each and every student by assisting them.

I'm also an Emergency Management & Environmental Health intern at the University of Washington Bothell. My team and I work to prepare the campus and neighboring community for any natural disasters, outbreaks, or campus emergencies. So far, I have prepared emergency kits for the school and promoted emergency preparedness through workshops and events.

My health related interests include emergency preparations and education. I look to strengthen population health through education regarding health and lifestyle changes. This includes nutrition and diet especially. Additionally, I want to inform communities about what steps they could take to prepare for natural disasters and what to do in the event on one. In the near future, I hope to open up my boba shop (bubble tea). At the moment, I am still holding pop up shops and curating my recipes to perfect them. I have been working on my boba shop over the past year and it's slowly coming along. I look to open up in the Lynnwood area to have everyone enjoy a delicious beverage. My goal for the boba shop is to provide simplicity.
