Growing up in one of Houston's most dangerous neighborhoods, Khristopher Fields witnessed domestic violence and verbal abuse. He expressed his bottled-up pain by lashing out, leading to being labeled emotionally challenged, at-risk, and a behavioral problem. Despite these labels, Khristopher found the strength to take responsibility for his own life and turn things around. He channeled his past struggles into becoming a behavioral specialist in Klein ISD, where he saw firsthand that kids needed more mentorship than the schools could provide. This inspired him to establish Wise Up To Rise Up Foundation at 27. With his heart dedicated to kids often given up on due to their behavioral challenges, at-risk status, or emotional issues, Khristopher focuses on providing mentorship opportunities for these youth as well as any child in inner-city neighborhoods who needs the kind of hope a mentor can provide. His foundation aims to make a lasting impact by offering free mentorship experiences to foster care youth, at-risk kids, and any child needing a friend and mentor. Now, he’s a national inspiration, earning awards and recognition for his relentless dedication to mentoring and uplifting underprivileged youth, shifting the narrative of his beginning into one of hope and empowerment for the next generation.
