SHOT BIOGRAFY Khudaverdi G. Ganbarov- doktor of biological sciences, professor, head of the Micro-biology Department of Baki State University. 1973 – graduated from biological fakulti of Baki State University. 1973 -1974- as a young specialist began to work in Institute of Microbiology of Azerbaijan National Academy of sciences. 1974-1975- worked onprobation(did a specialcourse) and 1976- 1978 – was a postgraduate in Microbiology Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Microorganisms (IBFM),Biological Center of USSR Academy of sciences, Moscow region, Russia. 1979 –Ph.D in microbiology IBFM USSR Academy of sciences. 1990 – doctor of biological sciences,Moscow State University, Russia. 1979 – 1983 – was a scientific worker in IBFM USSR Academy of sciences. 1983- 1992 was a chif of Bioconversion of plant row materials Department of Institute of Microbiology of Azerbaijan National Academy of sciences. 1992-2011 worked in Department of Microbiology of Baki State University on position of professor.Since 2011 july up to the present head of the Department of Microbiology of Baki State University. 1981 worked on probation in Institute of Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Praga,Czecho-Slovakia. 1982 worked on probation in Department of Microbio-logy of Helsinki University,Helsinki, Finland. 2006 worked at Faculti of Bioscence Engineering of Gent University,Belgium. Scientific interests: Ecology, physiology and biochemistry of wood-destroing fungi.Utilization of plant waste materials by fungi;Microbial purification (transformation) of oil pollution (hydrocarbons) in soil and water;Antibacterial activity of lactic acid bacteria;Microbial production of metal nanoparticls. Have more than 220 scientific publications, including 10 inventions ( patents) and 14 books ( mono- graphs, manuals, textbooks and etc.) Know Russian, English and Turkish languages.
