My name is Khulekani Nkabinde, and I am currently a student a the University of Johannesburg doing Bachelor of Education in Senior and FET Teaching and I am majoring in School ICT Support and IsiZulu. I also currently serve as an Academic Tutor for Teaching Studies 2B, a module for second-year students under the Department of Education and Curriculum Studies (ECS).

My teaching philosophy evolves around Paulo Freire's Emancipatory Pedagogy (1970), where education should not hinder a learner, but they should be free from any oppression. I believe that learners have a right to education, and they also have a right to share their own opinions and values as they are human beings as well. I also believe in authentic teaching and learning to encourage learners to link what is being taught to them and relate to real-world experiences.

My research interests are based on the integration of digital tools in African Language subjects. As we live in the 21st century, I believe that the integration of technology is essential in teaching and learning to accommodate learners in the latest trends of technology which align with Communication, collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity.
