My research interests include health disparities,
community-based research, coalition building/
community development, and use of social media and
emerging technologies to advance health education.
I am devoted to the field of health education, holding
the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
credential since 1998 and obtaining the Master CHES
credential in 2011.

My current community service endeavors include a
host of committees and coalitions, notably the Board
of Directors of Hudson Perinatal Consortium, Job Bank
Chair for the New Jersey Society for Public Health
Education, Co-Chair of the New Jersey Cancer
Education and Early Detection (NJCEED) Public and
Professional Education Committee, and membership in
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
