Listen to my music

Chicago-based guitarist and producer Kianna Cameron recounts spending every Sunday sitting in the back seat of her parent’s car on the way to church — headphones on — listening to classic rock songs, imagining that she could play every guitar solo that came on. Originally from Youngstown, OH, she got her start performing with cover bands at local events at the age of 16. Not long after, her performances afforded her the opportunity to share stages with classic groups such as the O’Jays, Dazz Band, and modern acts including: award-winning gospel artist Israel Houghton, R&B artist Queen Najia, southern rock band Delta Rae, and Hip-Hop artists Freelance, King Combs, and Vic Mensa.

Always creating and recording songs for herself, Kianna eventually was urged to start sharing her personal work on musical platforms. She became interested in pursuing professional music production shortly after receiving positive feedback from the art she put out. Pulling from her classic rock and R&B roots, Kianna Cameron smoothly weaves together her guitar playing style with hip-hop and electronic music. Her guitar performances appear on Youngstown rapper, Freelance’s ”Taylor Swift” and “You Lookin’” and K.LA’s “Russian Roulette” and “Lemonade”. After founding her own production group, Sunset Fiends, Kianna self-produced and released her first single, “Flowers in the Window” in the summer of 2020. Currently, Kianna Cameron is attending Berklee College of Music, studying electronic music production, and focusing her upcoming musical work on collaborations with other artists.
