Kiarra Solomon

Philadelphia, PA

Kiarra Solomon holds a Bachelor's Degree from Temple University in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media. An adamant believer "that we become what we see", Solomon is committed to using her career in media and as a communicator to combat social issues that plague urban citizens as well as creating positive images and role models in the media for urban youth.

Kiarra has worked as the Executive Producer for The Damage Report, a webseries designed to address the issues affecting at-risk youth in Philadelphia by using the platforms of various celebrities, entreprenuers, and philanthropists. The show was hosted by celebrity DJ, DJ Damage of BET's 106th and Park and Philadelplhia's Hot 107.9 FM radio.

Solomon has been featured in The Philadelphia Daily News, on 105.3 FM WDAS, and 98.9FM WUSL for her work with the Philadelphia NAACP's Black Love Experience, an ongoing project she lead to address relationship issues experienced in the African American community. The one day conference featured various guests including Rev. Dr. Alyn E. Waller, and on-air personality Patty Jackson. Additionally, the program was featured on Good Day Philadelphia Fox 29 News.

Solomon has worked at a consultant and project implementer for various organizations, including The Philadelphia Chapter of the Recording Academy, Mt Airy Church of God in Christ, 3BG Marketing, The Phoenix PR and the Philadelphia Chapter of the NAACP.

She currently holds the position of Social Media Editor and Columnist for the Philadelphia Sunday SUN, and has also contributed to TheRoot.com, and The Chicago Tribune.Kiarra is also the Director of Communications for State Representative Jordan A. Harris-D, 186th Legislative District, and volunteers as Special Events and Social Media Consultant for the Philadelphia Chapter of the NAACP.

Kiarra is a Licensed Evangelist, and a member of Mt. Carmel International Church, Inc., where she leads the Women's Ministry under the instruction of Pastor Carolyn McNeil.
