Kiedock Kim

Kiedock Kim is a metallurgical engineer with three decades of international experience in mining and mineral-processing operations. Kiedock Kim is also an avid photographer. Kiedock Kim has assessed, managed, and strengthened mining projects in North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East since 1984. At Jerritt Canyon, Mr. Kim oversees safety, production, and environmental concerns of the site’s gold-milling operation. He has implemented operation changes and enhancements that have resulted in significantly improved functions and capacities, including in the site’s benchmark operation recoveries yield.

Prior to joining Veris Gold USA, Kiedock Kim served in a variety of evaluation, operation, and management capacities beginning in his home country of Canada and crossing borders in North America and other continents. His assignments have included positions as chief metallurgist with Claude Resources in Saskatchewan, corporate metallurgist with Royal Oak Mines in British Columbia, and manager of metallurgy and environment with both TVX Gold in Ontario and Philippine Gold, PLC, in the Philippines. Other work assignments Kiedock Kim has held include mill superintendent and project leader at both the Sukhaybarat gold mine and the Bulghah gold project in Saudi Arabia; technical specialist with Cominco, LTD, in British Columbia; and consulting and feasibility study manager with Bell Copper Corp. in Arizona.

Kiedock Kim holds a master of science in mineral processing from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, and a bachelor of science in metallurgical engineering from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. Mr. Kim is a member of both the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and Professional Engineers Ontario. He has maintained memberships in both professional associations since 1995.
