Kiera Jones

Atlanta, Georgia

Hello, I am Kiera Jones and I am eighteen years old. My birthday is November 8th, 1995. I am originally from Miami, Florida, and recently moved to Fairburn, Georgia four years ago. I didnt want to move to georgia when my mother told me, so I decide I was going to stay. I packed my clothes and told my mother I was moving in with my grandmother. That was not a very long-lived plan. My grandmother sent me back to my mother thirty minutes after I got to her house. So now I am a florida/georgia tangerine (orange/peach) as my mother would call it. I was really forceful about not moving but it did not work because I am here. Fairburn is four hours from Valdosta and about thirty minutes outisde of Atlanta. But from Miami it is a ten hour drive. I graduated from Creekside High School this past May. I was one of the only seniors that did not have a driver’s license.

I am the oldest of four. I have two younger brothers and a younger sister. My parents have been married for six years. My father is a chef and my mother is a homemaker. They both attended Le Cordon Bleu culinary arts school before we moved to Georgia. In the tenth grade I met my current boyfriend and my three best friends. We became more like sisters than friends.

I do not know exactly what I want to major in, but I know what area I want to learn in. I know that I want to be on north campus, because I want to major in something dealing with business. I am taken all the business classes offered at my high school. I have always known that I want to be a business major, the only thing I need to do is decided the exact major.

When I got the chance to attended VSU I was overly excited. They have one of the best business programs. This will help me further my knowledge of business. VSU is not or too far from my home, which is what I need since this is my first time being away from home.

In high school I was never really active in school. That is something that I want to change now that I am in college. I want to join as many clubs as possible here. I want remember my college experience as the best time of my life. So I want to do things that I will remember, and will benefit me.
