The Kikgard was invented by a 36 year veteran police officer, certified crime prevention officer and an experienced locksmith.

Over the years there have been many improvements in a door system including the locks. Except for the doorjamb. Kikgard takes new approach to doorjamb reinforcement. After throughly researching and the doorjamb problem a common sense, low cost and highly effective product was created. The Kikgard patented design allows for it to be attached onto the jamb at the manufacturers factory. This is possible due to the patented U-shaped design that allows it to be attached with screws to the side edges of the jamb. The end user of the door does nothing but install the door and uses a standard strike plate and screws. Once the door is installed the Kikgard cannot be seen which many homeowners will appreciate. We feel we have solved the doorjamb security problem.
