I'm a research associate at the Research Unit for the Sociology of Education at the University of Turku, Finland, an honorary research fellow at the Statistical Cybermetrics Research Group at the University of Wolverhampton, UK, and an adjunct professor (docent) at the Department of Information Studies at Åbo Akademi University, Finland. My research interests include altmetrics, webometrics, informetrics, information dissemination, social media, and social network analysis. Of these topics I've published widely and held several talks and presentations and organized courses and workshops for companies, universities, libraries and other organizations.

My personal interests include gardening, golf, photography, and cooking.
