Kim Harper (born June 28, 1985) Since Kim was 5 years old, her entire life is revolved around fitness. She was an incredible speed swimmer, 1m spring board diver, water-polo player and synchronized swimmer. Choosing which sport she should stick to professionally was a hard decision for her to make at such a young age, She knew in her heart that synchronized swimming would be her passion for many years to come.
Kim is a Montreal based Yogi and started Tingsha Yoga and Fitness in Montreal in 2012. She was a National champion synchronized swimmer for 15 years. Training over 40 hours per week she had to incorporate a lot of yoga and fitness in her schedule. Since she retired from swimming she continued with her yoga and fitness practice. After many years of attending yoga and fitness classes, Kim decided to get certified and share her knowledge with others. She got certified with YogaFit Canada. After Kim was certified with YogaFit, she started teaching Yoga, Yogalates, Pilates and Boot Camp classes at various studios, gyms, parks, charity events and private in home sessions in the Montreal area. Having such an extensive background in swimming, Kim attained her Aqua Fitness certification in June 2013 with CALA and started teaching Aqua Fitnness and Aqua Yoga classes.
Not only is Kim graceful, strong and athletic, she is a philanthropist. Her sense of caring for, nourishing, developing, and enhancing life for all living beings by exercising her values in giving and volunteering is inspiring. You can always catch her helping someone out or offering her services at the next charity event.
Kim is a motivational speaker and feels very strongly about promoting and spreading awareness for many causes. She will be spreading her knowledge at elemantary and high schools and speak to kids and teens on how to lead a happier life, by following her simple philosophy. She has been through it all, ups and downs. Kim has pushed though those hard times and wants to show people that life isn't easy, but you can get through it.
Kim has started Tingsha Yoga and Fitness, a Montreal-based Yoga and Fitness service. Her philosophy is that anyone, no matter what age or ability, can practice Yoga and Fitness.
