If you’re a business owner involved with any sort of children's programming I applaud you.

Having been involved in callisthenics, swimming, netball, gymnastics and more, it became time to give back these experiences.

I hold a Degree in Recreation Leadership, various fitness certificates, gymnastic qualifications, various business management and leadership programs.

I am also accredited as a judge, mentor, presenter, assessor and business development is my passion. This knowledge supports the mentoring role I undertake independent coaches and business owners in the sport and recreation community today.

The best and biggest learning curve in my career so far was spending American summers as Program Director of a boys elite sleep away camp and from there realised that programming, management and program development was my passion. Upon arrival the systems and daily programs were all hand written... in pencil! No kidding. Each day over 400 children and 100 staff moved around the both island and mainland campuses and off site on excursions as far as Canada. A huge task.

Returning to Australia (for a rest) I took on a role at an elite Gymnastics club in the eastern suburbs and managed both the competitive elite squads and recreational programs.

Building my own gymnastics club was the next natural progression and was loaded with both rewards and challenges. Building a wealth of small business knowledge and also networks outside of my chosen sport along the way.

Co-authoring a book in 2012 gave me another perspective on how much impact working with the power of mindset in both life and business can achieve.

What came next was a natural progression for my passion for business, systems, processes and development of the 'behind the scenes'. Other club owners were coming to me for advice in the areas of marketing, programming and communication. It quickly split over to other business owners and now spans one on one training with dance schools, yoga, callisthenics and multi-sport programs within the kid’s space.

The biggest achievement so far was feedback from a dance school owner that her business had doubled in 12 months due to the advice and direction that I encouraged and supported her to take with her school.

Launching this idea into a formal capacity in 2017 with Pathway For Excellence so that I can help to influence and make life easier for these passionate business owners is my next goal.
